Kamen Rider Ex-Aid – Episode 2

Due to the deletion of Nyaa.se, individual torrents for this episode are not available. Please refer to our batch postย if you’d like to download it.

… Well, we did say by Wednesday, not on Wednesday.

Sorry about the muxing mistake last week! And the timing mistakes… and those translation errors. Best to get the worst of the growing pains out of the way first, right? V2s will definitely be released in the future, so you won’t be stuck with it forever, either.

Again, huge huge thank you to Gustavaum for the raws!

And once again, thank you to everyone for your support and criticism! We can’t reasonably respond to absolutely everyone, but no matter what you said, we’ve read (and listened! ๐Ÿ˜‰) and we’ve taken it all on board. We seriously can’t thank you enough for all helping us out so much!

Enjoy the subs, and see you next game!

Here’s a patch you filthy animals:

Note: This is a patch to turn Gust’s raw into Excite’s HD .mkv. You need xdelta3 on your computer in order for it to work.

    Thank you!

  9. Kawa says:

What I find particularly funny is that whenever Hiiro calls for a scalpel, he says “mesu”. “Mes” is Dutch for “knife”.

I’m not complaining about it being BY Wednesday. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Seriously though, as soon as you’re able is all we can ask. Thank you… and I’ll be darned if I notice any huge problems. Keep up the great work ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. Jason says:

Oh wow this caught me off guard. I was just checking to see if you’d mentioned starting on it only to find that you’d released it. Keep up the good work but remember not to stress yourselves!

  16. Force Gaia says:

What’s changed then? I didn’t notice anything different between the episodes in terms of driver announcements or catchphrases. Or are you still working things out to standardise them in a future episode?

  17. bioking4t2 says:

While initially unsure, I’ve come to like the “new language” Excite! has invented to translate the “Gashatto/Gachan/etc.” sounds. It’s just like Over-Time’s personalized “Kaigan/Dai Kaigan” language (“Eyes Open!” “Eyes Wide Open!” “All Eyes Open!” “Eyes Beyond Wide Open!” “Eyes Open to the Limit!”), which was neat, unique, and it worked and fit, accurate or not. “Transformation Plus!” is still sounding off, though. Still, I have ears and a brain. I know what the episode is actually saying, and I can choose to hear that instead of reading their version if I so wish, so it’s not really an issue.

(Also, side question: there’s a “Notify me of new comments” checkbox below the comment space. Does that only tell me about replies to my comment, or any new comment on the post? It says “comments” and not “replies”, so that’s throwing me off a bit.)

    • Amanda says:

It alerts you to any new comment on the post. I don’t recommend it; I left it checked last week and woke up to 100 new emails.

    • krsentai says:

Come to think about it, doesn’t “Transform Plus!” sound a bit better than “Transformation Plus!”? It has the same amount of syllables as “Dai Henshin!” and it still gets the point across.

  18. regulus says:

    wow, thanks for the speed
at first i just missunderstood it by think that you will post it exactly on wednesday
    well, thanks again

  19. gyozilla says:

I know they’re basically touching on similar things, but I kind of wish the theme was centered more around being a Virtual Rider with game elements and viruses showing up in the VR and real world than a straight game-centric Rider with your stereotypical chaotic neutral Game Corp providing the drivers and tech (it’s basically like OOO or Gaim but not as awesome b/c no Cake Boss). I’m thinking VR Troopers or Reboot. I don’t mind the suits and weapons having a game motif but I think a virtual motif would fit better with the medical parts of the show.

  20. Thank you soooo much!!! You’re doing an amazing work!!! Don’t worry about being fast, quality is the most important!!!

  21. Fiona Hinman says:

I’m liking this show more and more, thanks for the subs!

  22. fatur says:

wuhu!! thanks excite subs for providing us a nice and fast subs for this series :3

  23. Gee says:

Is it me or is the theme song a total let down? It just doesn’t do anything.

  24. redracer says:

    Amazing!! Thank you guys!!

  25. Watchinator says:

Thanks for subbing this show. ๐Ÿ™‚

  26. stanczakg says:

Excellent job! I had no complaints about last week’s subs, but these are even better!

Great episode, Kamen Rider Brave is awesome motif and ability wise. My only complaint is that there isn’t much to his personality besides being a shallow jerk who happens to love sweets (which according to my friends who have been to Japan is very atypical of Japanese men).

I kind of wish they would bring back the two-episode arc format from older rider series since it gave the show more time to flesh out the stories. That being said though, Ex-Aid seems to be handling that quite a bit better than Ghost did, though that’s a low bar. Ex-Aid has a surprisingly high quality about it so far and I hope that continues.

    • DJ Kidna says:

Lately it seems like they prefer to quickly get the character introductions and gimmick introductions out of the way quickly in single-episode stories at first, and then later on move onto two-episode arcs, and then overarching story episodes when getting closer to the final act. I’m not necessarily averse to them doing this as long as it doesn’t muck up overall story pacing. I think Ex-Aid has hit a nice balance because it teases us with tidbits of the Bugster leaders and Genm Corp, as well as teasing the next Rider to reveal themselves, thus still giving us that nice hook to want to come back and find out what happens with those characters next week.

  27. stardrago says:

Well, thanks for posting the scripts for these for those of us that may want to change some wording of certain things. For me personally I would keep the sound effects as they are like Gashat, Kimewaza, as well as “Game Area” instead of a level. Also, I prefer of when Emu announces “Dai Henshin” for his level up I would either keep that phrase or change it to “Great Transformation”.

  28. Thank you for the sub.

For that next episode title, I think the BAN part is talking about getting banned instead of bang as the new Rider is an ex-doctor, so he got banned from being a doctor.

  29. mamamara says:

Thank you so much for subbing this series! My kids and I are enjoying it ๐Ÿ™‚
